That's horrible. I've heard so many stories of women's birth plans and rights being ignored by hospitals, it's one of the reasons I'm seriously considering a homebirth, because it seems like they can do about anything once you're there. :(
I noticed the article said her only options for natural birth are a women's care clinic or an "unassisted home delivery". Is midwife-assisted home birth banned in AZ, or just an option the article writer may have overlooked?

I wonder if there are no Midwives in the area. That is my guess.
